Ezoic Premium Review
Ezoic Premium is one of the top options for publishers for monetizing websites with programmatic display advertising because it increases your daily earnings on the platform. Plus, Ezoic gives you everything you need to maximize your earning performance as a Premium publisher.
This review will cover every aspect of the Ezoic Premium program you need to understand to make an accurate comparison between the standard plan. We’ll first go over the advantages and disadvantages of the Premium program, then explain the various levels and plans, and end with an overview of the costs and additional revenue you can earn with Ezoic Premium.
You’ll also find a list of common questions people have about Ezoic Premium along with answers based on first-hand experience and details from the official program documentation.
I’ve personally been with Ezoic since October 2021 and started with the Access Now program. As of January 2022, I’ve been a Premium publisher and have enjoyed every part of it. You can see the new Premium ads in real-time as you’re reading this review while also learning more about this exclusive programmatic advertising program.
As you’ll discover in this in-depth Ezoic Premium review below, there are many reasons why you should join this program as a website owner that make it well worth the investment. If you like what I say, and for some reason haven’t already signed up with Ezoic yet, then I invite you to use my Ezoic affiliate link here to check it out.
What Is Ezoic Premium?
Ezoic Premium is an invite-only program that gives participating publishers improved monetization, more timely reporting, advanced features, and expert advice on monetizing and improving their website content. Ezoic Premium is also a subscription-based service that requires a commitment to Ezoic on the part of the publisher.
Essentially, as an Ezoic Premium publisher, you’ll earn more revenue by getting access to higher-paying ads in exchange for a monthly subscription fee (i.e., the commitment). And the program is designed in a way that your Premium ad earnings will always be greater than the monthly fee you pay to be part of this exclusive network.
As a Premium publisher, you won’t see more ads on your website. Instead, you’ll see higher quality ads from top-tier Ad Partners that want to gain more visibility with the traffic that’s visiting your website. In fact, you’ll actually earn more money with Premium using the same number of ads (or even fewer) that you currently have showing on your website.
Advantages of Premium
- The top benefit of Ezoic Premium is that publishers can earn additional revenue by gaining access to higher-tier advertisers.
- The average EPMV for your entire website will increase.
- The total cost of the subscription service is always less than the additional earnings you receive during the month.
- You can choose between a month-to-month plan and cancel anytime or lock into an annual contract to get an additional 20% savings on your monthly subscription fee.
- After you’ve selected an Ezoic Premium Level (Basic, Preferred, or Elite), you can upgrade or downgrade to any level to adjust your monthly subscription fee through the account dashboard. (More details below.)
- Premium publishers get access to priority reporting; meaning you can see your ad revenue data about 24 hours before regular users.
- Premium publishers can schedule a 1-on-1 site review with an Ezoic expert to help uncover new ways to maximize their earnings and user experience.
- A Premium advertiser report is unlocked in your account that shows you which top-tier advertisers are displaying ads on your site and their associated revenue percentages.
- With Premium, there’s no revenue share with Ezoic on advertising income you make. The Premium fee is the only money Ezoic earns from your account while all of that additional ad revenue goes to you as the publisher.
- Your single Premium fee covers every website under your Ezoic account so you can earn more revenue on every property.
- You can try Ezoic Premium for FREE for 14 days before you make any commitment or incur a subscription cost.
Disadvantages of Premium
- The biggest disadvantage of Ezoic Premium is that it’s an invite-only program. You must meet certain criteria such as using the platform for an extended period of time (typically 3 months) and earning a certain level of advertising revenue ($50 per month) before you get an invitation to join the program.
- The Premium program requires upfront payment each month. You must pay in advance to get the Premium features for the next 30 days. (Explained later in this review.)
- You cannot pay the Ezoic Premium fees from your ad revenue. Fees must be paid separately with a credit card.
- The best pricing for Premium requires a year-long contract. By signing up for an annual commitment, you can save 20% on your monthly fees. However, a month-to-month plan is also available if you don’t want to commit to a full year.
- If you’re on the annual plan and want to cancel before the plan ends, you’ll be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the remaining value of the annual contract. However, if you’re on the monthly plan, then you can cancel at any time without any cancellation fees.
Ezoic Premium Levels
Ezoic has three Premium levels: Basic, Preferred, and Elite. While enrolled in the Ezoic Premium program, you can change levels at any time, regardless if you’re paying monthly or have an annual contract.
In my experience, you always want to choose the highest level (Elite) because it offers the most benefits and the highest profit. The only time you would want to choose the Basic or Preferred levels is if your monthly budget cannot allow you to afford the Elite level.
But again, you always earn more money than the fee you pay for the Ezoic Premium program, regardless of level, so the best return on investment (ROI) is always the Elite level.
The total costs for each level are outlined later in this review in the “Ezoic Premium Cost Overview” section. As for now, here is a list of the benefits you get for each level:
Basic Level Benefits
- Access run-of-network premium advertiser campaigns.
- Unlimited tests with Tag Tester.
Preferred Level Benefits
- Access premium advertiser campaigns before basic publishers.
- Access premium advertiser campaigns for your site’s vertical.
- Earlier availability of Big Data Analytics.
- Quarterly expert site review meeting.
- Unlimited tests with Tag Tester.
Elite Level Benefits
- First priority on all premium advertiser campaigns.
- Access premium advertiser campaigns for your site.
- Ad level reporting in Big Data Analytics.
- Earliest availability of Big Data Analytics.
- Quarterly expert site review meeting.
- Free Ezoic Pro membership with advanced site tools.
Ezoic Premium Plans
Ezoic Premium plans consist of 11 tiers and Ezoic publishers are automatically placed in a specific plan based on their last 30 days of standard Ad Partner revenue. Plan eligibility doesn’t include Premium Ad Partner revenue that’s received by joining the program.
In other words, each Ezoic Plan has a monthly eligibility requirement based on ad revenue. The more money you make with your standard ads, the higher you go up in the tiered plans. This will make more sense in the next section of this review where you’ll discover the monthly eligibility requirements, the cost for each plan, estimated revenue increases, and profits.
For now, here’s a list of the Ezoic Premium Plans available to publishers:

Ezoic Premium Cost Overview
The Ezoic Premium cost depends on the level and plan that your Ezoic account falls into for the current month. The pricing for Premium is also dependent on your choice of a monthly or annual contract with a base rate of $14 to $22 on the Starter Plan.
The good thing here is that publishers are automatically switched between each plan based on the monthly Ezoic Ad Partner revenue. This means you’ll be dropped into a lower tier if your monthly earnings ever go down. That feature was put into place to protect you from ever losing money as an Ezoic Premium publisher, which is a great benefit to the program.
However, the opposite is not true for moving upward in the Ezoic Premium Plans. If you’re monthly Ad Partner revenue increases enough to put you into the next highest plan tier, Ezoic will not automatically upgrade your Premium subscription fee. Your monthly (or yearly) cost will stay the same by default which is another way you’re protected financially in the program.
Fortunately, you can enable an Auto-Upgrade feature in your account dashboard so your Ezoic Premium Plan will automatically upgrade to the next level if your Ad Partner revenue increases enough to put you in the next tier. This is helpful as a publisher if you’re willing to incur a higher monthly subscription fee without warning while also enjoying higher profits.
Below are the monthly eligibility requirements, pricing, revenue, and profit details of each Ezoic Premium Plan (11 in total), which ranges from Starter through 7 Diamond. When you’re invited to the program, Ezoic will alert you to which plan you can join at the start. It’s then up to you to decide which level you want to proceed with (Basic, Preferred, or Elite). As you’ll see below, the Elite level always offers the best ROI with the highest profit so I encourage you to choose it if you can afford the upfront monthly cost.

A Real Life Example of Ezoic Premium
Up until this point of the review, you’ve learned about how the Ezoic Premium works and what it can do for you in terms of additional earnings. But you’re now probably wondering how does all of this data translate into real life as a website owner.
Below is an example of one of my website’s earnings during the first month of being on the Ezoic Premium program. I joined on January 25, 2022 and earned an extra $42.35 in 7 days for free during the 14-day free trial.
In the next image below, you’ll see that I earned an extra $194.58 for the month of February 2022. My total Ezoic Premium cost was $144 because I joined the 3 Star Plan at the Elite Level on a month-to-month basis and did not sign up for the annual contract to save 20% off the fee. But still, this resulted in a profit of $50.58 for the month, or a 35% return on my Premium investment. On average, I’m earning an additional $3 to $10 per day with this example website as a Premium publisher.
Another advantage you should be aware of as an Ezoic Premium publisher is that your average EPMV will also increase throughout your website. I mention this in my other guide on how to increase Ezoic earnings to make more ad revenue.
Premium ads have a positive effect on your website’s EPMV (earnings per 1,000 visitors) to increase the overall earnings. If you want to learn how EPMV is different than RPM, another common ad revenue reporting metric, check out this other page with Ezoic average RPM explained.
In the image below, you’ll see an example of how the average EPMV increased for this sample website before and after joining the Premium program.
You can experience results similar to these as an Ezoic Premium member. But to get there, you must first join the network to be eligible for the invitation. Use my Ezoic affiliate link here to get started today.

Ezoic Premium Site Review Results
As mentioned earlier in this guide, all Ezoic Premium publishers get the opportunity to have their websites reviewed by an Ezoic monetization expert.
At first, I didn’t really think a site review was necessary because I thought I had everything set up correctly to maximize my monthly ad revenue. But since it was a free service I could take advantage of with the program, I decided to set up a consultation with an Ezoic team member to see how valuable it could be as a publisher.
During the call, I was pleasantly surprised by what I learned. The Ezoic advertising expert showed me several new ways to better monetize my website. Some of those tips included:
- Enable vignette ads. Previously, they were turned off because I didn’t like the disruption in the user experience. However, after testing traffic with vignette ads turned on, the user experience metrics like bounce rate were not negatively impacted so I instantly earned more revenue by enabling vignette ads.
- Create more defined blog categories so I can see which types of content earn the most and publish more of them. This can help guide my future keyword research and content publishing strategy.
- Create more content that targets higher-paying countries like Australia. There are plenty of untapped areas for boosting ad revenue just by attracting users from certain geographic locations.
- Use Big Data Analytics to find out which posts have the highest EPMV and write more content like it. High EPMV blog posts indicate that Premium Ad Partners are willing to pay more to have their ads displayed on certain types of content.
- Find ways to drive more visitors to the high EPMV pages because they earn more per 1,000 visitors. For example, send traffic to a page that has a $50 EPMV versus a $3 EPMV.
What was also nice about this 1-on-1 consultation experience was that the Ezoic monetization expert followed up with me one week after the meeting. She wanted to track the impact of turning on the vignette ads for me in regards to the extra revenue earned versus the user experience metrics so we could make the best determination if they should stay enabled or not.
That was a nice touch in terms of Ezoic’s Premium customer service because it took all of the guesswork out of the process for tracking and analyzing that type of data on my part so I could accurately know what to do with the vignette ads. (Note: The data told us to keep them turned on.)
Common Questions About Ezoic Premium
Why Is Premium Invite-Only?
Premium is invite-only because Ezoic only offers Premium access to publishers that it knows can deliver on campaigns for advertisers that are interested in a particular type of website or content that will deliver higher revenue for their businesses. Not every website is a good fit for Ezoic Premium and its Ad Partners.
Will Premium Always Be Profitable for Me?
Premium will always be profitable for you because the program is designed mathematically so you never make less money than you pay for a Premium subscription. Your Ezoic Premium Plan tier will automatically adjust to account for seasonality, traffic, and current ad rates so you’ll always earn a profit on top of the monthly fee.
Is There a Free Trial for Premium?
Ezoic offers a 14-day free trial for new Premium members to try out the program and see how much more ad revenue they can earn as an Ezoic Premium publisher.
Do You Have to Join Premium If Invited?
You do not have to join Premium if you’re invited to the program. However, you can try Premium for free with no obligation to find out if it’s a good deal for your website or not.
Can I Pay the Premium Fee with My Ad Revenue?
You cannot pay the Ezoic Premium fee from your ad revenue because the earnings are paid directly from the advertisers to the publishers. The monthly Premium fee must be paid separately with a credit card because those payments go to Ezoic.
Is It Better to Do the Monthly or Annual Premium Subscription?
The monthly Premium subscription is better if you don’t want to commit to an entire year with this Ezoic program. However, you can save 20% on the monthly cost if you select the annual plan. The only drawback with the annual plan is that if you cancel the subscription before the 12 months are complete, you’ll be charged 50% of the outstanding value of your annual contract.
Can You Change from a Monthly Premium Plan to a Yearly Plan?
You can change from a monthly plan to an annual plan at any time through your Ezoic Premium account dashboard.
Does Premium Apply To All of My Websites On Ezoic?
If you have multiple websites that are earning through Ezoic, your monthly Premium fee will cover all of those sites. This means that all of your websites will display higher-paying ads and increase your total revenue without any additional subscription costs.
This is one of the top benefits of becoming an Ezoic Premium publisher if you have a portfolio of websites or blogs because it also allows you to move upward through the Ezoic Plans and earn more profit based on your cumulative Ad Partner earnings. It’s also one of the reasons why Ezoic is ranked as one of the best ad networks for small publishers.
Do You Have to Pay Premium Fee for Each Website?
All of your websites are covered under a single Ezoic Premium subscription fee. Regardless if you have one website or 20 websites, they all enjoy the benefits of displaying higher-paying advertisements from Premium Ad Partners to earn you more money each month without any additional costs.
What Are Premium Ad Partners?
Premium Ad Partners tend to have very high CPM rates (often above $50) but the amount of ad inventory is limited. Revenue that comes from Premium Ad Partners is generated through the use of programmatic guaranteed deals with specific advertisers that are interested in your ad inventory.
Is Premium Worth It?
Ezoic Premium is worth it because you’ll always make more ad revenue than you spend on the monthly fee for the program. Premium will also attract better companies for your ad inventory which will increase your daily EPMV metrics.
Overall, Ezoic Premium is worth it for anyone who wants to maximize the earnings from their website through programmatic advertising and be given all of the proper tools and help necessary to do so. Premium is a win-win for content publishers because it accelerates income growth without any additional work required.
The web pages you currently have will start to earn more revenue the instant you become an Ezoic Premium member. If you’re thinking about joining the program or comparing it to your current Ezoic membership level, then you should now have a good understanding of how Premium can be beneficial for your website and advertising earnings.
Now, if you’re still just exploring the Ezoic advertising program and haven’t joined yet, then I invite you to use my Ezoic affiliate link here to get access to the network. That’s the only way you can become eligible for the Premium membership.
