it's the right thing to do or not. So let's go ahead and get started. The first thing I

want to talk about is SEO generates more online traffic for your business. And what I mean

by this is that if you don't have a blog, you have less opportunities to get traffic to your site

But when you have a blog and you actually focus on SEO, what you do is you create more opportunities

for people to find you in the search engines. And that's important because if you have like an

e-commerce site or an affiliate site or something like that, if you only have a few posts on your

blog or your website, or on your website, maybe like five or 10, that's only five or 10 opportunities

to get people to your site. But if you have 100 pages, et cetera, and you've got them all SEO optimized

you literally are creating thousands of different opportunities for people to come to your site

and find out more about your business and generate sales. So that's the first reason

SEO will generate more online traffic to your site and generate more leads if you do it in the right way

The next thing I want to talk about is that SEO gets you targeted visitors

And what this means is that when you do SEO right, you can get people that you want to visit your content that are in, for

example, the buying frame of mind. For example, let's say that you're looking to sell camping

equipment, for example, at your site. And you create a blog post about best camping, best

tent for camping in the winter. And so somebody that's looking for that type of content is very

specific because they want a tent for camping in the winter. So you're getting a very targeted person

That's probably more inclined to buy something at that point in time because

they're very specific on what they want. Now compare that to something like maybe just best tent for camping

Generally people when they starting that search they just in kind of the mode of gathering information And so they going to the site they like okay what a good tent for camping But they might not exactly know that there different tents for different parts for different

weather throughout the year. So, you know, one tent might be good for, you know, let's just say cold weather below

20 degrees, or another tent may be created in a way that's best for hot weather, et cetera

And so when they do that search, they come to the site and they find, oh, okay, actually, I'm going to be camping in the winter

So I need something that's a little bit more durable, retains the heat a little bit more, et cetera, et cetera

So now they're going to go back to Google and they're going to start searching for best camping tent for winter

And so you're getting a very targeted visitor in that way. And so when you optimize your content so that you can target people like that

you're getting people that are just more bottom of the funnel trying to get answers to their questions, which is very targeted

And this is, there's an interesting stat from WebFX that I found, which I put in the blog post

And they said that comparing to the average close rate of traditional marketing, SEO provides so much more opportunity for that

And what this means is that they say that 14.6% is the average rate of closing somebody on a deal through SEO

Now, that may not sound very big, but when you compare that to traditional marketing, the statistic here is 1.7%

So that's about eight times the close rate of traditional marketing. So by doing good SEO, you can get eight times your return on investment by doing strategies like that versus just doing traditional marketing

So you can see why SEO is important because it's getting you those targeted visitors

We've talked a little bit about it has the best ROI. So essentially you're getting the best return on your investment

And also what's good about that is that when you do go to SEO, that stuff that you're doing is actually evergreen

So it's going to last. It's not like when you pay for a social media ad or an ad in like Google where it's just going to work when you pay for that advertisement

SEO is evergreen. So when you optimize an article, that optimization is going to carry on

So, for example, I have some sites where I've optimized a web page and it's still making me money two years later and I haven't even touched the page

You know, I wouldn't recommend that you don't update your content, but that's just an example of showing you that even pages that were touched two years ago that were properly optimized are still going to continue to generate revenue for me

And I don't have to pay for that. It's free traffic. compared to if I were to write in a social media ad for that post It only going to work while I paying money to Facebook or Instagram et cetera while it going So that what great about SEO and how it good for your

online business is because it's going to continue to return on your investment, which was probably

mostly just time you put in the beginning over and over and over again. More stuff I want to

talk about is basically when you do SEO well, you're also going to improve the credibility of

your business. Because what happens is people, when they find your site in the search engines

you start to look more credible. And if you start showing up for more search terms around certain

queries, they're going to start seeing your name more and start thinking, oh, this must be a good

well-known brand because I keep seeing them. So in some of my niches with my affiliate sites

you know I dominate page one for most of the keywords for the products I sell and so that's

creative brand recognition you know and if I didn't do that people wouldn't know who I was

you know I'd just be this one site that was like oh he just does this thing but they don't really

trust me because it's like who is this guy you know but when you're typing in different terms

related to my niche you find me popping up all the time I pop up for questions people have about

products. I pop up for individual reviews. I pop up for what's called roundups where it's best of

the best list. So I'm popping up everywhere. So when people are doing their research for these

products that I promote, they see my brand name and they're like, wow, he's showing up everywhere

He must be someone who's trustworthy, incredible, because he's on the first page of Google. And so

SEO, when done properly, is going to provide you with that credibility for your business

So it's something you want to capitalize on. And the last thing I want to talk about

because everybody wants customers. They want leads. They want sales, et cetera. And one of the

hardest things with any business is you're always comparing yourself to your competition. And this

is really important for like local SEO, for example. You know, you, for example, let's say

you own a tree service and you have a tree service website. You know, you want people when they have

tree work that needs to be done, you want them contacting you. You don't want them contacting

your competition because that's could potentially be thousands of dollars you're losing. So when you

do SEO well, you can beat your competition because you can start appearing in the first page of the

search results and you can start getting more leads because again, your brand is becoming

recognized as the leader in that market. You know, so if someone were to type in, you know

tree service near me and they see you pop up you know they gonna contact you probably first versus your competition that might be on page two or page three because they not focusing on SEO

So SEO is just so valuable for every business, no matter if you're doing local SEO or national SEO or international SEO

It's so important because you have to get basically more pieces of that traffic

as people search for things. And I just want to mention this stat for you real quick in relation to this

There was essentially a research from Zero Limited Web said that the first five organic results account for about 67.6% of clicks in Google, the first five results

And it goes on to say that if you're like most searchers, you prefer clicking on organic results versus the paid advertisements

And in page two, it only gets about 6%. So again, what that means is that if you're on page one, you're going to increase your

odds of getting clicked on and getting more traffic to your site by focusing on SEO
