UFOs (Not SEOs) are Suddenly a Serious News Story

A strange story popped up on my Twitter feed this week.

It was about UFOs (i.e. unidentified flying objects).

Since I was bored, and it seemed intriguing, I clicked on it.

Which sent me down a rabbit hole worth sharing…

Essentially, here’s what I discovered:

There has been growing concerns about UFOs in the United States.

And it’s not just from overhyped tabloids trying to sell more newspapers in the grocery store checkout lines.

These are actual concerns coming from U.S. Navy pilots.

Who are exceptionally trained and take a comprehensive (and routine) vision test by an aviation medical examiner.

And these pilots have no clue what these flying objects are they’re coming across in the air.

These concerns are spreading like crazy too.

Some of the pilots have been speaking out publicly about the mysterious objects they’ve seen in flight with exceptional speed, agility, and acceleration, that disappear in the blink of an eye.

And we’re not just talking one or two UFO sightings either.

This is 144 encounters documented by the U.S. government.

Insane right?

That’s what I thought too.

Then I discovered in December 2020, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.)—chairman of the Senate’s intelligence committee at that time—asked the U.S. government to investigate this series of mysterious UFO sightings and deliver a report on it.

The officials agreed and delivered that report in June 2021.

Here’s a summary of what it said:

U.S. finds no evidence of alien technology in flying objects, but has no explanation for those sightings either.

So we’re all still left hanging for answers…

And UFO sightings are undeniably going to continue.

Funny thing is that this whole drama about UFOs reminds of when a website owner gets a sudden spike in traffic for one of their web pages.

All of a sudden they’re in the top 5 on Google for a great keyword and massive amounts of visitors come streaming in.

And they’re excited beyond belief.

But then, just like those UFO sightings, the rankings disappear in flash without a trace of ever existing.

What’s worse is that you’re not able pinpoint what happened, just like the U.S. government is coming up empty handed.

But here’s the thing…

It’s no classified information why those sudden ranking boosts and massive drops occurred.

In fact, the reason is very clear and well-documented.

Google is known for constantly testing the ranking order of its search results to best meet the its users’ needs.

And the algorithm A/B tests new URLs all the time to find out where they should fit in the rankings for specific keywords.

So if you’re web page is missing key elements, like a properly optimized H1 tag or sections in the content that a user wants to see, then your pages won’t last in the top 10 positions.

I’ve seen this happen time and time again for people who are new to SEO.

And they have no clue what’s happening.

But luckily, you don’t have to suffer from those mysterious ranking fluctuations any longer.

There are some simple SEO strategies you can put into place that will help your content “stick” on the first page of Google.

Ranking in the top 10 is no mystery once you know how to do it the right way.

And I reveal those tactics in my Mastering On-Page SEO course.
