What Is A Query?
A query is a word or phrase that is entered into search engines to find relevant information. Also known as a search query.
Search engines generate results based on queries users submit to the system. A search query can be about any person, place, organization, or thing, and have any number of words in the term or phrase.
Website owners can target the three main types of search queries: informational, transactional, and navigational queries, by providing a relevant answer to it on a specific web page.
Ranking for informational queries can generate high-volume traffic, but converting that traffic into revenue can be difficult. Hence, targeting transactional search queries can help websites attract more paying customers. Navigational queries, on the other hand, are focused on finding a specific brand’s website or physical location.
