What Are LSI Keywords?
LSI Keywords is an SEO term used to describe words and phrases that are semantically related to a particular topic. LSI stands for Latent Semantic Indexing. It is synonymous with the term Latent Semantic Analysis, and it first emerged during the 1980s.
This complex processing method establishes connections between words a searcher inserts into a search engine and those indexed in the search engine’s database.
These terms aren’t always identical, which is why LSI interprets them to show the searcher the most relevant results for a particular query.
Google denies the existence of LSI keywords or their involvement in the ranking process. Even so, including LSI keywords in a post often improves its reach and topical relevance and increases the chances of the content ranking at the top of the search results.
LSI keywords are often mistaken for synonyms, even though they provide much more context than a synonym. Any term that is semantically related to the main keyword can become an LSI keyword.
